Testosterone Propionate U.S.P. 100mg/1ml

10 Ampoules of 1ml, for I.M. Use Only

Active Ingredient: Testosterone Propionate.

Excipients: Grapeseed Oil, Benzyl Alcohol.

Pharmaceutical form: Oily solution for intramuscular injection.

Quantitive and Qualitative composition: Each of the ten 1ml ampoules contains Testosterone Propionate.

Pharmacotherapeutic category: Anabolic hormones.

Therapeutic indications: One ampoule of VIROMONE-100 contains 100mg Testosterone Propionate. It is injected intramuscularly where it is stored and gradually released within 2-3 days.

In men: as a nitrogen retention and anabolism agent in muscle wasting, osteoporotic, atrophic or anaemic pathologies as indicated by symptoms such as:

  • Cachexia
  • Loss of appetite
  • Fatigue
  • Depression
  • Reduced bone density

In women: as a adjuvant agent in the treatment of disseminated breast carcinoma, or oestrogen / progesterone dependant osteoporosis in post menopausal period.

Before using VIROMONE-100

Contraindications:

• Allergies to any of the excipients of VIROMONE-100

• If you currently have androgen sensitive prostate cancer

• If you currently have male breast cancer

• If you have, or had liver cancer

(exception: it is used in mestatic breast cancer)
Note: Not enough data has been produced for the use of drostanolone in children.

Precautions:

Notify your prescribing physician if you have or have had any of the following;

  • Epileptic seizures
  • Heart, kidney or liver problems
  • Migraines
  • Sleep apnea
  • Blood clotting abnormalities
  • Women with breast carcinoma should monitor their calcium levels and discontinue treatment with VIROMONE-100 if increased.

VIROMONE-100 can cause systemic oedema which can complicate heart or kidney diseases, even so far as to cause congestive heart failure.

VIROMONE-100 has not been thoroughly studied in patients with liver insufficienncies. The formation of benign hemorrhagic liver neoplasias has been anecdotally reported. Prolonged large doses of VIROMONE-100 can cause azoospermia, oedema, impotence and in rare cases priapism. Women can develop virilizing side effects such as acne, deepened voice and hypertrichosis.

Administration in children must be exceptionally careful because it can cause symphysis of the epiphyseal plates.

Interactions with other drugs:

No significant interactions with other drugs have been reported. Please notify your prescribing physician if you are on any of the following medications.

• Andrenocourticotropic hormone (ACTH) or corticosteroids(Used in various ailments such as rheumatoid arthritis, allergies or asthma)

• Anticoagulants

• Insulin or other antidiabetic drugs such as metformin or thiazoridinediones.

• Diuretics

Storage: Store in a cool dry place below 30 degrees C. Ampoules to be stored in outer carton box, not to be refrigerated.
